These backpacks fabric have been weaved the traditional way (Hand Loomed). The colours and patterns are specific to the Cordillera Region, Northern Luzon, The Philippines.
The weave patterns have been passed down through the generations and continues to be the Igorot's (Natives of the Cordillera Area aka "Headhunters") traditional pattern that differentiates them from other tribes of The Philippines.
The geometric shapes and colours are based on what they see in their day to day and what they deem sacred: earth, fire, water wind.
Stripes signify the rice terraces which plays an integral part in the Igorot's survival.
